The family of the late Jim Thornton, Hawthorn Crescent, Bay Estate, Dundalk, Co. Louth, who passed away peacefully on 16th December 2024 would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to all those friends and neighbours who sympathised with them on their sad loss.

We greatly appreciate the phone calls, messages, Mass cards, letters, flowers and condolences. Our heartfelt thanks to the nurses, carers, doctors and all the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Jim during his illness.

Thank you to Fr Murtagh for such a lovely and personalised Funeral Mass.

Thank you to Quinn’s Funeral Directors for their professionalism, help and guidance during this heartbreaking time.

Jim will be greatly missed but his memory will live on through all of the many stories and kindnesses in peoples hearts.

Jim’s Months Mind will be celebrated at Mass on Sunday, January 21st in

St. Michael’s Church, Darver at 10.30am. All very welcome.

Jim will always be remembered by his ​​​​​​wife Bernadette,  children Mary, Gerard, James and Margaret, sons-in-law Noel, Eamonn and Niall, brother John, sisters Mary and Kathleen, brothers-in-law Stephen, Thomas and Seán, sisters-in-law Kathleen, Bernadette, Kathleen and Mary, nephews, nieces, relatives, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
