Patrick’s Months Mind will be celebrated at Mass on Sunday, April 19th in

St. Joseph’s Redemptorist Church at  12.30pm.

The Fireman’s Prayer

When I am called to duty, God,

wherever flames may rage,

give me the strength to save some life,

whatever be it’s age.

Help me embrace a little child

before it is too late

or save an older person from

the horror of that fate.

Enable me to be alert

and hear the weakest shout.

And quickly and efficiently

to put the fire out.

I want to fill my calling

and give the best in me,

to guard my every neighbour

and protect their property.

And if according to your holy will

I have to give my life,

please bless with your protecting hand

my children and my wife.

Patrick will always be remembered by his wife Doreen, sons and daughter Dermot, Claire, Paul and David, son-in-law Pearse, daughters-in-law Kelane, Andrea and Lucy, grandchildren, brothers Dermot and Billy, sisters-in-law Jackie and Philomena, nieces, nephews, his family circle, neighbours and many friends.
