We sadly announce that john Vernon passed away after 3 weeks in St. Peter’s Nursing Home with his family around him. John was husband and best friend of Maura (nee Robinson, Market Street), Dad to Damien, Seán, Catherine and Louise, grandfather to Stephen, Enya, Caoimhe and Oisín, great-grandfather to Alexander, Kyle, Evan and Aiden, father-in-law to Gerry Sheehy and Barry McGill, brother of Eithne, Robert and the late Dorothy, Jimmy, Gertie, Edwin, Freddie, Grace and Eileen, brother-in-law to Anne Humston (Ard Easmuinn), Olive Robinson (Clogherhead) and Jimmy Livingston and deeply regretted by Stephen’s wife Samantha and Caoimhe’s fiancé Chris. He will be kindly remembered by his many nephews and nieces, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in the Eternity Room of Quinn’s Funeral Homes, Bridge Street, Dundalk (Eircode A91 KW52) from 3pm to 7pm on Friday. Removal from the family home, Cloneen Drive, Ard Easmuinn on Saturday at 10.30am, driving to the Mortuary Chapel, Dowdallshill, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
